For a long time I was the all or nothing manager, loving the drama and high-paced life, wearing a mask of having my shit together yet sometimes it felt like it was all a game. I got over playing the game and then I sunk into not knowing who I really was and what I wanted to achieve. 

I knew I had a bigger purpose in life that working in a mind-numbing government job that was not in alighnment with my values and the more I started to be open about that I realised that many people felt the same. They felt there must be more to life.

Hi, I’m Kim Adams

After spending over 20 years working in criminal justice I realised I started to question my purpose and my self-identity. On the outside I was capable, calm and confident. On the inside I was chronically anxious, feeling disconnected, lonely and with a deep yearning for purpose.

I had created a persona that kept me separated from true connection with myself from the mistaken belief that this was keeping me safe, whilst in reality I had dimmed my light. As I began to accept myself and  embrace my gifts and my shadows I felt the call to speak my truth and live my dharma (purpose).

I draw on my background in psychology, organisational performance improvement and studies of neuroscience and yogic philosophy to share ideas, actionable strategies and guidance to help solopreneurs and small business owners like you discover greater self-awareness, psychological wellbeing and confidence in business and in life.

I’m so busy I don’t know I have time or headspace to undertake a program, how do I know I can do this?

Everyone is busy. It is your decision how you prioritise your time though I do encourage you to prioritise your personal health and growth whether it be through working with me or other modes of wellness.

 

How much time will I need to commit to the process?

Our sessions will be 50 minutes but the real work happens in your daily life as you start to incorporate new habits or perspectives into how you show up in the world.  The aim is not to having your working harder but working smarter.

How soon can we get started?

As soon as we find a time that works for both of us. Usually within week or two of our discovery call. 

I’m feeling nervous about the process, is that normal?

Absolutely. Firstly, it can be a little uncomfortable talking about personal matters with another person. Secondly, you probably have a sneaky impression that you are going to have to change in order to heal or grow. Yes you are. Change need not be painful but it can be a little uncomfortable as your mind gets used to new ways of working. 

How do you accept payment and is there a payment plan?

Payment is required at time of booking. A payment plan can be negotiated and discussed in the discover call.

What is your cancellation policy on a session if something comes up?

 We can change the appointment if advise is provide more than 24 hours prior to our appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours of our appointment will forfeit the appointment. 

Do you have a refund policy?

No, but I am committed to your success and if you are not happy or feel something is not right then please let me know. When you are changing or when your long-held beliefs are being ruffled it can be easy to simply opt out. We will make sure that is not what is really happening and then pivot if needed

“I’ve read lots of books and even tried therapy before and it didn’t really change anything. Is this like therapy”

Knowing is not changing. It is the transformation that occurs deep in your unconscious combined with actively learning to implement new habits and mindset that creates change. I get it, you have done a lot of self-work over the years and you probably even have a good understanding of your traumas or what needs to change. I too have been stuck in intellectually knowing myself. The next and most important (and most difficult step) is shifting conscious and unconscious patters. This is where support and guidance from me can make the difference.

Hey, we have all been there. We know not to eat the whole tub of ice cream, but we do. You do the best you can with the circumstances you are given and where you are at emotionally. That is the past. No judgment here. What is important is that you decide to be present in this moment and endeavour to heal what needs to heal, let go of what needs to leave and start practicing a lighter way of being in the world, now and into the future.

“I should spend my money on more important things”

I get it, as women, we often feel like we’re not deserving or that going inward and understanding ourselves better is not “productive” and there are so many other things you need to be spending money on. Building a strong, resilient and flexible mind is just as important (if not more so) than a spending money and time on your business.  Imagine what you could be doing differently with your life if you believed in yourself and were whole, healed and healthy. 

“I don’t have the time. I just need a quick fix.”

Honey, if there were a quick fix I would have jumped on that bus a long time ago. Well I guess I did jump on every promise of a quick fix but really that was simply bypassing doing the work.

Sometimes you just need an outsider to see you and your business from another perspective and give you a nudge in the right direction. However, realy change takes time, is usually multi-layered and what you think is the problem is often not the problem at all. It can take awhile to excavate the full picture.

That being said, sometimes there is a quick shift that can happen in a single session or two. Let’s talk.
