Give Yourself a Little Compassion

If you were perfect you wouldn't be here on Earth to learn and grow. Be kind to your mistakes and honour your achievements.

When you have done the hard inner-work and now realise that you are the creator of your reality. Wow, that realisation can be a little heavy.

What do I mean by this?

When you know that self-empowerment requires you to step out of any unconscious victimhood where you see yourself as powerless at the whim of external influences, it forces you to face your role in creating your life.

This can easily turn into self-blame, self-judgment, self-doubt, shame, guilt, etc.

You did, and are doing, the best you can with where you’re at. You are human. You will choose the wrong partner, make bad choices, say mean things, create unnecessary drama, eat too much sugar, watch too much Netflix. You will f^%k up and you will be your own worst enemy sometimes.

If you were perfect you wouldn’t be here on this Earth school.

You are here to learn, to grow, to shift karmic patterns.

What is important is self-awareness.

What is important is connecting deeply with your truth.

What is important is taking steps to heal and learn and grow.

What is important is self-compassion for your stumbles and perceived failures.

What is important is that you pause and take time to re-centre after difficult times.

What is important is that you begin to consciously choose more often than you unconsciously react.

You are the co-creator of reality. Be kind to yourself.

Acknowledge your mistakes. Honour your achievements no matter how small you think they are.

Stay groovy

Hi, I’m Kim Adams

I help midlife women with high-functioning anxiety cultivate radical self-acceptance, release self-limiting beliefs and anxiety, using a blend of psychology and grounded spirituality so they feel more calm, confident and connected to what is important.

I know what is is like to be outwardly confident and high achieving while on the inside feeling constant tension, anxiety and a nagging feeling that if I just slowed down then everyone would realise my secret.

Getting out of your head and finding peace in the present moment using yoga, mindfulness and developmental psychology can feel like the pressure valve has finally been released.
