Yoga came into my life when I was a very shy 17 years old, struggling with my  confidence and feeling like I didn’t really fit in anywhere.

I remember the teacher was probably about 45 years old (which seemed so old to me at the time) and I was mesmerised by her grace, beauty and calm, almost ethereal presence.

I wanted some of that!!!

Yoga has played a different role at each stage of my life. When I was younger it was about the physicality of the practice. I loved Ashtanga and Bikram yoga. If I didn’t sweat and get a workout it wasn’t worth it.

It was during my teacher training in 2015 in Bali that the real shift began where the spiritual and philosophical side of yoga began to be more important than the physical. 

To me yoga is a tool for healing. It might be the only time that you actually spend doing nothing other than connecting with your body and your breath. 

Yoga is so much more than a physical practice. In fact the physical practice is simply the means to open the door to self-awareness and self-growth, in whatever form is important to you.

When breath and movement synchronise, the space of stillness presents itself.

A blend of alignment-led active poses with free-form passive Yin poses provides a safe and nurturing class suitable for all levels and for most bodies.

A blissful, tropical, candlelit, open-air deck awaits. I believe beautiful spaces create an energy of themselves that give permission for you to fully arrive in you.

Meet Kim 

I am a slightly neurotic, transformational guide, yoga teacher and space holder for women with anxiety who are ready to live with radical self-acceptance. 

After spending over 20 years working in criminal justice I realised I started to question my purpose and my self-identity. On the outside I was capable, calm and confident. On the inside I was chronically anxious, feeling disconnected, lonely and with a deep yearning for purpose. 

I connected the dots of how trauma in this life and others had dimmed my light and began to fully embrace my gifts of healing, intuition and being a space holder for the healing of others. I was ready to speak my truth, and live my dharma (purpose).

Yes, I am a work in progress. I still overthink, struggle with ADHD tendencies and self-doubt, and feel super awkward in social situations. But I do know that if I can find more peace, confidence and healing so can you. With the right tools, techniques and support you can find the …

What can I expect in a session?

Yoga is an opportunity to connect body, mind and spirit. There will be pranayama (breathing exercises), asanas (movements) and meditation. The exact mix will depend on the theme or energy of a particular night. Sometimes we take it slow and juicy and sometimes we create heat in the body through slow flow movements.

Private sessions are bespoke to your needs and goals. 

Can I attend if I have an injury?

It depends. Speak with Kim and she will advise the best option. For minor or chronic injury or pain, yoga can be very beneficial to the healing process if undertaken mindfully and intentionally. Kim will provide options to work with or around mild injury or your recovery from injury. Ultimately though, it is your body and if something hurts or doesn’t feel right it is your responsibility to speak up.

Can I attend if I pregnant?

Not is the first 12 weeks. After than it will depend on your body and doctors advice and previous experience with yoga. Kim can recommend specialist pregnancy yoga teachers.

Why would I choose a private session as opposed to coming to a group class?

Private sessions are perfect if:

1. You are nervous about attending a group class as you are new to yoga or have felt intimidated when going to classes previously

2. You would like a personalised class created for you to practice at home or would like to work on some specific areas of practice in more depth. 

3. You want more than simply ‘yoga’. A personal session will incorporate more meditation, energy clearing and chakra balancing. Really the class will be guided by your needs and Kim’s intuitive assessment of your needs. 

 

How do you accept payment ?

Cash on the night or direct debit. 

What is your cancellation policy on workshops?

Full refund if cancelled 48 hours prior to workshop or course commencing. No refund if cancelled within 48 hours. Private Yoga Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
